TreasureLee’s(トレジャーリーズ)の歴史は、私の祖母が韓国から日本に移住したときに始まりました。

まだ18歳だった祖母は、新しい国で慣れない環境と今まで触れたことのない文化に戸惑う日々を過ごします。 

故郷を思う日々の中で祖母の唯一のつながりは「料理」でした。

その故郷の味を再現する為には韓国の食材が必要でしたが、祖母は当時韓国の食材が入りにくい環境の中、貴重だった韓国の香辛料を日本の出汁に加え、独自のブレンドを作りました。

それが現在の秘伝のタレ「トレジャリーズソース」の隠し味となる薬念(ヤンニョム)です。

その後も祖母が作ったヤンニョムは母に受け継がれ、来客がある日にはヤンニョムを使って10品以上もの料理を手際よく作り振る舞う母の姿を良く目にしていました。

隠れたファンが日に日に増え、「秘伝のヤンニョムとタレを商品化してほしい」という声を多くいただき、三世代に渡り代々受け継がれた私はさらに食材選びにこだわり、良いものを作り提供することを誓い商品化することを決意しました。

祖母のコミュニケーションの中心はいつも「食」であり、トレジャーリーズのヤンニョムもまた、その中心にあったのです。

The story of TreasureLee’s began when my grandmother moved to Japan from Korea. She was only 18 years old when she found herself in a new country, homesick and surrounded by people whose language she couldn't understand.  Her only connection to home was through Korean food. Unfortunately, none of her favorite ingredients or flavors existed in Japan. 

Her longing for Korean food sparked her creativity and she created her own "secret sauce" making what is now TreasureLee’s Yangnyom Paste. She mixed Japanese broth (dashi) with Korean spices to create her own unique blend. Food was how my grandmother connected with others in this country, and TreasureLee’s Yangnyom paste was at the heart of her communication.

For generations, her recipes have been passed down in my family. I still recall how my mother was able to seamlessly and quickly prepare a dozen dishes, using both the Yangnyom Paste and TreasureLee’s sauce, when my father would bring surprise dinner guests to our home. 

After many people asked us to turn our family recipes into actual products, my siblings and I finally created TreasureLee's. We are so delighted to share the treasures of our family kitchen.
